New in drugstore polishes!

I found a couple of things from Sally Hansen while out shopping in the last week. Join me after the jump for more pictures of the Nutra Nail's UV polish set that's now available at Walgreens and the discount Sally Hansen display I found at Big Lots.

While at Walgreens last Saturday, I found this

Nutra Nail UV Seems like Nutra Nail is attempting to bring this salon technology into the home, and what's most interesting is that it doesn't use a UV light. Instead, it seems that it uses some combo of *activator* polishes for curing the nail polish, making it last up to 14 days, according to some materials near the package. The price at Walgreens was $14.49, but I didn't buy it.  I'll be very curious to hear people{s reviews of this new product and how it compñares to the salon version. However, I won't be using it because I don't ever wear a polish that long, and the colors seemed to be pretty standard (pink, red and purple).
*Edited to add that I urge you to check out Rebecca's link to a review of the Nutra Nail polish, which reveals that it´s wear time is not good at all!

Also, while at my local Big Lots, I ran across this

Sally Hansen Diamond Strength for $1.00! I don't know if all the Big Lots will feature this or what, but be on the lookout for these, seems like a great deal on polishes that usually retail for much more! It seems to be the same display that was available at Walgreens when I was there that Saturday. I know for sure that the Black Diamond shade was in both of them.

  1. I would say the Sally Hansen's in Big Lots are the leftovers they had when they changed the bottle design...I'm excited to head over to the one near me this week and see what kind of goodies they have! Normally it's just some Revlon, though I did once find a basket of Revlon Carbonite for $1.30 each. LOVE me some dusty hunting!

    1. I've found some great stuff at Big Lots occassionally, but most of the time I agree that it's mostly Revlon. I had no idea the bottle designs had changed, thanks for the info.

  2. Nutra Nail is not Sally Hansen, and believe me it is nothing like salon gel or gel polish. I'm a certified gel technician.

My friend Leslie reviewed the Nutra Nail stuff here, http://polishartaddiction.blogspot.com/2012/01/nutra-nail-gel-perfect-review-wear-test.html

  3. The Big Lots I was in this week didn't have that SH display--probably just as well since I'd probably have scooped up too many of them. :)
