Plastic wrap nails, featuring Sinful Colors Innocent and Amethyst

Sinful Colors Inoocent and Amethyst, natural light lamp
I am not the best at nail art, and I don't have as much free time as I would like to dedicate to my polish hobby. It's probably these facts that makes me adore plastic wrap nails so much! They have a cool, textured look and don't require any kind of special talent. You just ball up your plastic and go! I did some plastic wrap nails with 2 Sinful Colors polishes, Innocent (lime green) and Amethyst (purple creme). I think the fact that the color choice is a bit unexpected is what makes this look really fun!

Join me for my thoughts on both polishes and more (blurry) pictures after the jump!

My camera has really been letting me down recently. I've noticed that most of my nail pictures are a bit blurry recently, even though I haven't changed any settings. (That I know of. This is coming from someone who regularly changes the language on her phone to French without knowing it. C'est vrai!) I had 54 different pictures of this manicure, and the few that made it onto this post are the best ones(?!).

I would have never have picked up a color like Sinful Colors Innocent if it hadn't been on sale for 99 cents. That said, I'm surprised how much I've gravitated towards this color since I did. I did some nail art with it and China Glaze Deviantly Daring that's sadly lost in the depths of my computer. But I also really liked it in combination with purple, which is why I decided to do this mani. In addition to its surprising appeal, Innocent has the addition benefit of being very close to colors like OPI Who the Shrek Are You? and China Glaze Electric Pineapple. In case you don't believe me, here's a post that compares Innocent with those two colors and OPI Did It On 'Em. Both Innocent and Amethyst applied nicely in 2 coats for me.

Amethyst is also a color I picked up at the last Sinful Colors 99 cent sale. I initially put it back, believing that I *had* to already own a purple like this. However, once I researched and found out it's a dupe for OPI Funkey Dunkey, I knew I had to have it. Funkey Dunkey was a lemming that I had put off fulfilling. I'm glad I was able to satisfy it with Amethyst. It's a great medium purple that will pair nicely with a lot of other polishes. Any purple lover like me needs a color like this in their lives!

I had to cut down my nails right after this manicure. If you look closely, you'll notice that my index nail is lopsided. It's not just a weird photography angle, it really chipped. Luckily, I didn't have to completely nubbinize to remedy matters, my nails still have some length. You'll see them in my next few posts.
