Quick comparison-Zoya Carly vs. Zoya Jem

Zoya Jem on middle and pinkie fingers, Zoya Carly on ring, natural light

When I saw images of the Zoya Beach and Surf collection, I immediately disregarded Zoya Carly because it looked a lot like a Zoya that I already own, Zoya Jem. I am lucky to be a polish dealer...errr... liason to a friend, and I picked up her Beach and Surf colors at my local nail place. I asked her permission to use Carly and managed to catch these pics of the color in comparison to Jem.

As you can see, Carly is lighter than Jem. Also, the shimmer in Carly leans silver, while the shimmer in Jem leans more orange and gold. I think you can justify owning both if you love purples. My problem is, I love purples so much that I'm not sure I should get Carly.  I already have more than 30 purples, surely I shouldn't get another...right? :/

One last pic of the two colors in natural light. I didn't include this one on the front page because it's pre-cleanup, plus there's a huge piece of lint on my middle finger!

Please excuse the tipwear in all the pictures. Like I mentioned, I only had Carly on loan for a bit before handing it over to its owner, so I couldn't touch up or redo this mani.

  1. Thanks for the comp! you beat me to the punch :)
I am thankful to have both, I love them :) Also Orly Rocco-a-go-go (or whatever) is cut from the same cloth (so to say) as these two. Zoya Valerie is a dead on dupe for Jem.

  2. They are both very pretty in their own right, and Carly definitely has a lighter, more summery feel to it. There are a few comparison of Valerie and Carly, and of Valerie and Jem, but I figured I'd do one with the 2 colors I have.

Interesting to know about Orly Rococo A Go-go, thanks for taking the time to comment. :)
