Nubar Gem: Double Rainbow all across the nail!

Nubar Gem, sunlight
Whoa! It's a full rainbow all the way. Double rainbow, oh my god! Double Rainbow, oh my god!  What does this mean? It's so bright, so vivid. Double rainbow, double rainbow, it's so intense. What does this mean? It's starting to look like a triple rainbow! That's a whole rainbow, man! Double rainbow all the way across the sky! Look at that rainbow! Too much!

Ok, I just used Nubar Gem as an excuse to relive one of my favorite viral videos, the Double Rainbow guy and then his song:

Check out more pictures of Nubar Gem after the jump. (Sorry, there won't be any double rainbows.)

Nubar Gem, shade

Nubar Gem, a scattered holo polish
So Nubar Gem is a holographic nail polish with a scattered holo effect.  That means the "rainbow" effect of the holo particles appears randomly on the nail rather than in a straight line.

Nubar Gem is not quite beige or rose colored
Nubar Gem is an interesting color, I really don't think I have a non-holo polish that's comparable to it in my collection. It's a light beige color with a bit of rose color mixed in.  The holo particles in it flash all the colors of the (double) rainbow.

I wanted to include one last shot of the polish with a blurry effect in the sunlight. It's starting to look like a triple rainbow!

I'm done with the polish, but had to add this parody of the Double Rainbow guy, which I also love:

Do you own any of the Nubar  holographic polishes? Do you like the Double Rainbow video?

  1. I have this, Jewel & Reclaim! I think my favorite is Reclaim because Gam and Jewel are more like holographic glitters than the smooth holo so it's quite gritty.

    1. I agree that the texture of Gem was quite gritty. I think you're right in saying it's a holographic glitter.
