Color Club brings us flakies for the holidays with Snow-Flakes!

All the hype for Color Club right now is for their holo collection. No one seems to even know about the flakie topcoat that they are releasing in their holiday collection.  I'm here to change that. :) Color Club Snow-Flakes is a flakie topcoat that shifts from orange to to yellow to green.

Snow-Flakes is definitely not a new color to those of us who own Essie Shine of the Times, which has recently been discontinued. Here's my comparison mani with SotT on the pinky and middle and Color Club Snow Flakes on the index and ring.

When I compared Snow-Flakes and Shine of the Times on the nail, the only difference between them was that SotT seemed a *bit* more dense than Snow-Flake. Other than that, the color shift seemed identical between the two.

Check out a few more pictures after the jump!

Snow-Flakes is definitely not a new kind of flakie. Besides Essie Shine of the Times, other polishes with the same color shift include Finger Paints Flashy and Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure. Despite this, I'm really glad that Color Club came out with their own version of the flakie. Why? Because none of the other flakies like this are readily available anymore! They were all limited edition, so Color Club's addition to the flakie world comes just in time, IMHO. :) I had planed to buy a backup of Essie Shine of the Times, but thanks to CC Snow-Flakes, I don't need to.

Sinful Colors Inkwell is from its recent Enchanted collection, I think many people overlooked this color because it looks black in the bottle. In reality, it's a really darkened plum jelly. Here is a swatch of Inkwell at 2 coats, next to other Sinful Colors from the same collection, In the Mist and Jungle Trail. This nail wheel picture is the only one I got where Inkwell didn't look as quite as dark.

I decided to add something to the original Snow-Flakes mani after a bit, so here's a picture of it with a coat of Sinful Colors Green Ocean on top.

Will you be purchasing Color Club Snow-Flakes, or are you done with this kind of flakie?
